Do you operate an energy cooperative or a Homeowners’ association (VvE)? And do you want to generate renewable electricity from solar energy, wind energy of hydropower? You can apply for the Subsidy scheme for Cooperative Energy Generation (Subsidieregeling coöperatieve energieopwekking, SCE, in Dutch).

The amount of subsidy you receive from the SCE-scheme depends on the amount of kWh produced. See the calculation examples (in Dutch) to learn how much you can get.

Who can apply?

The SCE scheme is meant for energy cooperatives and homeowners’ associations that aim to generate renewable energy from solar (PV), wind or hydropower (in Dutch). The scheme applies to connections for low-volume users as well as for bulk users. You must own the production facility to be eligible. For this scheme financial lease is also considered ownership.

How to apply?

You can no longer apply for the Subsidy scheme for Cooperative Energy Generation (SCE, in Dutch). The SCE-scheme runs until at least 1 April 2026. Each year a new application round will open.

You need eHerkenning level 2 to apply. It is advisable you follow the step-by-step plan (in Dutch) before you complete your application (in Dutch). You must attach a feasibility study to your application.
