Do you provide healthcare or home care? And do you want to use more digital or hybrid (partly digital) processes in your work? If so, you may be able to get a subsidy through the Incentive scheme for technology in support and healthcare (Stimuleringsregeling Technologie in Ondersteuning en Zorg, STOZ).

What is STOZ?

The STOZ aims to reduce or ease the workload of healthcare professionals, by further digitising the care process in your organisation. Would you like to explore how to do this in your organisation? Or do you already have a clear picture of the digital or hybrid care process and do you want to deploy it on a larger scale? Then you can apply for the subsidy.

You can apply for the STOZ for 1 of these 3 types of projects:

  • Implementation start: this subsidy allows you to draw up a strategy and develop an implementation plan (a plan to carry out the project).
  • Scale-up route: this subsidy allows you to apply digital or hybrid processes on a larger scale (scale-up).
  • Evaluation route: you can use this subsidy to evaluate the use of digital or hybrid resources. For example, to assess whether you will continue with this.

You can be reimbursed up to 50% of your eligible costs (in Dutch). For Implementation Start, you can get a maximum subsidy of €25,000. For the Scale-up route and Evaluation route, there is a minimum of €25,000 and a maximum of €750,000.

When do you qualify?

You can apply for the STOZ if you provide professional care or home care services on the basis of:

  • Social Support Act (Wet maatschappelijke ondersteuning, Wmo)
  • Healthcare Insurance Act (Zorgverzekeringswet, Zvw)
  • Long-Term Care Act (Wet langdurige zorg, Wlz)
  • Youth Act (Jeugdwet)
  • Public Health Act (Wet publieke gezondheid, Wpg)

Collaborative ventures between healthcare providers and a purchaser can also apply for the STOZ subsidy. Your project may last a maximum of 3 years. You can find all conditions per project category (in Dutch) at RVO.

You can apply for the STOZ subsidy to the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) from Tuesday 14 May 2024, 9:00 hours until Friday 20 December 2024, 17:00 hours.
