Repaying the Tozo (Temporary bridging measure for self-employed professionals)
Did you apply for (and receive) the Tozo loan for business capital? You have to repay this. Did you receive the Tozo income support? You will only have to repay if you received more than you were entitled to.

Did you receive too much Tozo income support? For instance because you had an income again in the last months of the year? You have to pay this back.
Tozo loan for business capital
You must definitely repay the Tozo loan for business capital (which amounts to €10,157 at most).
How much do you have to repay?
Tozo income support
The municipal authorities will ask you for an overview of earnings. The municipality uses this overview to calculate the amount of support you are entitled to and how much (if at all) you need to repay.
Tozo loan for business capital
You pay 2% interest on this loan. The calculation of interest starts from the moment you receive the loan. You do not build up interest from 1 January 2021 until (and including) 30 June 2022 and as a result your debt will not increase during this period.
When do you need to repay?
Tozo income support
You need to make arrangements with your municipality if you need to repay part of your income support. Often will be possible to make a personal repayment arrangement.
Tozo loan for business capital
You start repaying this loan from 1 July 2022. You have to repay in 72 months (6 years) from the moment you receive the Tozo loan. You can start repaying sooner, or in less than 6 years. Talk to your municipality about your options. If you cannot repay your loan you should contact your municipality. You can discuss your options with them.

Tozo loan for business capital
You repay the Tozo loan to the municipality that offered you the loan.
