Performing arts subsidy schemes

Do you work in the field of music, theatre, musical theatre, or dance in the Netherlands? You can apply for subsidies from the Performing Arts Fund (Fonds Podiumkunsten).

The fund offers subsidies for artists, producers, theatres, and festivals, to fund for instance:

• developing, performing or reprising productions (in Dutch)
• programming and production of performances and concerts for venues and festivals (in Dutch)
• internationalisation, such as international exchange projects and programming foreign productions in the Netherlands
• multi-annual activities by production companies, festivals and competitions (in Dutch)
• grant for composition or libretto commission
• presentations of Dutch performing arts abroad

When do you qualify?

Different conditions apply to the various subsidy schemes. For most grants, to be eligible the applicant or organisation must reside in the Netherlands. However, for the grant for composition or libretto commission and de presentations of Dutch performing art abroad you can also apply as an organisation outside the Netherlands. For other grants, foreign organisations are requested to contact the Performing Arts Fund before applying.
