Subsidy Demonstration Energy Innovation (DEI+)

Do you run a project that focuses on saving energy, generating sustainable energy or stimulating the use of sustainable energy? Or do you mass-produce products from waste material? You may be eligible for the subsidy Demonstration of Energy Innovation (DEI+).

When do you qualify?

In order to qualify, your project must meet certain conditions (in Dutch). Your project must be innovative and you must comply with the general conditions for the Topsector Energie measures. See for instance the general criteria for energy innovation subsidies (in Dutch).

The subsidy DEI+ covers a number of topics, including:

• circular economy
• energy efficiency other than in buildings
• flexibility of the energy system (pilot projects)
• hydrogen and green energy
• renewable energy
• local infrastructure
• gasification of residual energy
• built-up areas free from natural gas
• carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS)
• any other measures that reduce CO2 emissions in the built environment, or the electricity or production industries

How to apply

The subsidy programme for Demonstration of Energy Innovation (DEI+) consists of multiple subsidies. You apply for the DEI+ subsidies with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland, RVO):

• You can apply for the DEI+ subsidy for energy and climate innovations (in Dutch) from 28 January until 28 August 2025.
• You can apply for the DEI+ subsidy for gasification of residual energy (in Dutch) from 28 January until 28 August 2025.
• You can apply for the DEI+ subsidy for built-up areas free from natural gas (in Dutch) from 28 January until 28 August 2025.
• You can apply for the DEI+ subsidy for smaller circular economy projects (in Dutch) from 28 January until 28 August 2025.
