Culture Capital Loan
Are you an entrepreneur in the cultural sector and did your organisation suffer losses as a result of the corona pandemic or another crisis? You can apply for a Culture Capital Loan (Cultuur Vermogen Lening) to continue your cultural business.
What is the Culture Capital Loan?
The Culture Capital Loan (in Dutch) is meant for cultural and creative organisations and sole proprietorships that have been hit by the corona crisis. For cultural enterprises that are missing out on income that is normally reserved for investments or used as a buffer. The purpose of the loan is to restore your organisation’s capital. This way you can continue your activities. You are allowed to make use of other support measures as well.
The Culture Capital Loan is part of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science’s (OCW) financial support measures for the cultural and creative sector (in Dutch).
Who can apply?
Do you want to apply for the Culture Capital Loan for your organisation? You must be able to show that you have an operating loss. Do you want to apply for your sole proprietorship? You must be able to prove that you have suffered a loss. In any case you must fulfil the following conditions:
- Your business is established in the Netherlands.
- Before corona your enterprise was in a healthy state.
- You have a business plan which demonstrates how you are able to repay the loan.
- You may not use the loan to refinance other debts.

You can apply for the Culture Capital Loan for cultural enterprises to the Foundation for Culture+Entrepreneurship.
