If you manufacture electrical equipment in the Netherlands, other than radio or telecommunications equipment or peripherals, you must test it or have it tested for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) according the European EMC Directive.

In a statement of conformity you declare that the equipment fulfils the requirements of this Directive. If it fulfils all technical and administrative requirements, you may add the CE marking to the product.

Radio equipment and peripherals

To launch radio equipment or peripherals onto the Dutch market, these products must comply with the Radio Equipment Directive (RED). In a statement of conformity you declare that the equipment fulfils the requirements of this Directive.

If the frequency band that the equipment uses is not permitted in the Netherlands, you must report this to the Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure (Rijksinspectie Digitale Infrastructuur) 4 weeks before you bring the equipment onto the market.
