Taxi entrepreneur card
Do you run a taxi company in the Netherlands? Then you need a taxi entrepreneur card (ondernemerskaart).
What is a taxi entrepreneur card for?
The taxi entrepreneur card allows you to link all data on the on-board computer (BCT) of your taxi’s to your taxi company. You must download the data from all BCTs at least once every 3 months. You must be able to show this data when your business is inspected by the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT). You also use the data when you file your corporate income tax return.
How to apply for a taxi entrepreneur card
You apply for the taxi entrepreneur card to Kiwa Register (in Dutch). You must be registered in the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce's Business Register (Handelsregister) and have a business permit to operate a taxi service to apply for the card. You need only 1 taxi entrepreneur card for your company, regardless of the number of taxis.
The card is valid for 5 years, but it cannot be renewed. You must reapply for a taxi entrepreneur card when it expires.
Central Database Taxi Transport (CDT)
New taxi entrepreneur cards are valid until 11 November 2028. From then on, the new Central Database Taxi transport (CDT) system (in Dutch) will no longer require a taxi entrepreneur card to access your taxi’s data.
